Mrs. Barton’s Plans
for School Closure March 20th to March 30th
Parents, I have put together a plan for your students to do during our home learning. I have also included a packet of extra things to do should they want to and a list of links that they can use to learn about fun things. I do not want to overwhelm anyone but at a minimum I would like students to do their fluency timings, read from the reader and complete the worksheets that go along with those. Also complete their math lessons and homework. For journal prompts there is a small notebook for students to write in. I would love it if this was returned.

I will be available to answer questions between 8:00-3:45 each day. You are welcome to text, email or Facetime if needed. If something is unclear, please contact me. I will be contacting you via remind most of the time. I would like to talk to your student once or twice during the closure. I am going to miss them. I will contact you beforehand so I can set up a time to chat with your student.
I may try to send a video attachment of the book we have been reading. They have loved this book so we will see what happens. It will be done chapter by chapter

If your students are in Title One Reading groups, they will be virtually meeting with their reading teacher. I will be contacting you separately if this applies to your students with more information.

In the Packet of Fun there is a list of links. I highly suggest signing up for
Fluency and Fitness. This is a fun program that is for math and reading! Great for review and extra practice.
This is free for 21 days from the day you register. It will work on a phone or computer.

Also the sumdog app- is an awesome app for reading and math. I have included your student’s login and password information!
